Great location and even better eating. also the ski-doo-tow was good. very accommodating staff who provided a great cake to celebrate a big birthday!

We have waited to go here for a few years and took the naughty big skidoo to get there we were recommended early, so it was not too busy it was a nice day and one of the most picturesque and medium...of nowhere I have ever been to again!

We had lunch here. Turned up at the sign on the piste, called the number and within a few minutes a friendly chap on a skidoo appeared and pulled us to the hut an exciting, fun ride. Those not so happy with being towed...can sit on. The location and views are amazing and different to the norm. Food was very good and all reasonably priced. The ski walk back wasn't as bad as feared. We really enjoyed the whole experience.

To get there on skis, you had to pull behind a snowmobile driven by a speed freak. I was at the end of a tow rope that was dangerous on every bend. When we arrived at this isolated place, we were very disappointed. the ugly, modern...building is located in a valley that never sees the sun in the januar, at least not too midday. there were no tables to sit inside. even the crazy driver went back to the resort to collect ignorant guests. we waited half an hour, but still no free table. before the waiter asked us to pay for the dead who forbids the snowmobile ride. it felt like it was arguing. especially if I read later on their website that the skimobile trip should be free! they do not tell them in advance that they do not accept credit cards. I can't comment on eating because we don't get the chance to try any. no employee tried to help us when we walked around a table. the waiter who served bardrinks was surly and not helpful when we asked for advice on how to get back to the resort. he would have pulled us off. it seems to me that their business model literally unnoticed tourist should move to an inconspicuous building, miles away from everywhere and tear them off. everything without smile. if the administration reads this: 1. they no longer draw customers there than they can sit and serve. 2. give the skidoo driver some hints to health and safety. 3. Get a better staff, and preferably not thieves.

Cant describe how chic it is. Told to have opened for 3 years, you need a bit of effort in winter to go there, either to walk uphill for a very little bit next to the gondola then pulled by the snow motor for 5...mins a very interesting experience for us who have no such experience before , or ski down off piste for a short while. Food is good, atmosphere chic and relaxing. Excellent scenery. A must try in Obergurgl.
