It came as a surprise. Just near noon, an unexpected call. Asking to be ready to go to a certain Rioseco as quickly as possible. An hour later we were in Rioseco. A short walk thru the village and then we went to Soto de Agues. More than two decades later, to see Soto emerge from the vast floodplain of the Río del Alba was just like magic in those dramatic winter light. Back on our foots for a random wander around and although at first everything is suddenly new, at the same time small remembrances come. The circle of mountains is the setting in which, in a few moments, all the new things, I mean hospitaly, along with people, horses and dogs, little orchards and above all the smell of the smoke of the chimneys makes me feel at ease. And able to enjoy the surprise journey.
Nice terrace, with an attentive waiter and the dinner was good. Potatoes with eggs and peppers are good, also rice pudding. But what I loved was the speed and the fabada I had for dinner, that they let me repeat it and everything. Acceptable prices. It is recommended to return after today's experience in another one in the same town.
Asturian food of great quality and quantity. I was comfortable, then I had a nap with pajamas and a potty.
Nice place in the center of soto de agues , small but very well solved letter. recommended to book table and eat to the round to make the alba route
