Next to the path leading to the Glencar waterfall, with a fabulous view of the lake of the same name, you will find this dining area with well-kept indoors or outdoors with sun-covered tables or rain most likely the second option). There are dishes and desserts prepared by the house and served with care and kindness by the staff. On site small souvenir shop and. playground for children in a closed outdoor area .
'Afternoon Tea was absolute heaven...delicious.....Good company and even a treat box to bring home. You need to book in advance and advise of any dietary requirements....Enjoy '
A busy spot enjoying spectacular views and easily found from the main road. Lovely outdoor seating area too overlooking the lake. Nice to be able to get a bite to eat close to the waterfall and the shop has some nice bits and pieces for gift ideas. Even though it was early November the place was very busy and there was a long and fairly slow moving queue at the counter. The service was slightly chaotic to begin with and I considered giving up and leaving but the staff got it under control and after ordering we didn’t have to wait long for our food. I had the soup of the day (roasted pumpkin) with brown bread and for €5.50 I got a big steaming bowl of soup which was slightly spicy and very delicious with two thick slices of bread. It was nice to be given the option to have the soup with or without bread. The bbq chicken, bacon and cheese sandwich was very generously filled and served with a handful of crisps and small dressed salad. Fantastic prices for what we were served so I’d be happy to go back again. Enjoyed my visit to the teaSHED.
Perfect location right next to the Glencar Waterfall. Take the little walk to see the waterfall and then get refreshed. Their scones were very good.
