Sophiendal Slotshotel - Skanderborg

A real castle, most likely a hunting castle with a soul that has not been renovated away. The soul sits in the walls. If you don't like floors creaking and doors not always closing completely, then don't travel here. But if you like real atmosphere, personal service and good food, this is the place. Equally good for work as a romantic getaway. I'll be back.

Had booked a stay through their website, but didn't get to start with the room that was booked or the food. However, it was eventually resolved. However, there were dead insects in the room and some cleaning was lacking. The food was good though, so could consider eating there again but not really staying the night

We were for their Christmas market it was cozy enough there was just too little to see. You could do so that it was spred slightly more on the goods

Very worn but idyllic. It was young and inexperienced that served in the restaurant and there was no complete control. Breakfast buffet was sweet and strange that something was at a time and something in the restaurant. There was a great chaos when we arrived and many rooms including. Our was not ready.
