Waited in line for 30 minutes to get my Corsica Bread and met interesting people from Chicago. Corsica Bread was delicious and my son loved his chocolate croissant. What stores sell this bread??
We picked up a Corsica loaf this morning only to find that it was not fully baked in the middle, and the woman who we purchased the loaf from was incredibly rude. Very disappointed in the service and product. The Corsica bread is not what it used to be and not worth the price.
Hours are very limited now, only Sat. 9-2, but well worth the wait. Love the cherry cream cheese Danish (it's huge) and the Corsica bread which someone in line recommended. I will try plan all my Door County trips around coming here.
During the Pandemic, Door County bakery shut down like most restaurants. Apparently they made good in the experience by expanding production of their Corsican bread to retail outlets, which including converting the cafe into additional space for bakery production. We happened to go there on a Saturday, which is the only day they’re open for any retail traffic. Customers are not allowed inside. Instead, they have a bay window with limited bakery products which you order by microphone and pickup outside, from 9-2. We won’t be going back, but we certainly enjoyed the wonderful food and charming ambiance of the cafe in years gone by, and wish the owners the best in their new endeavors.
