Palm Bay - Sisi

Simple, rustic, older hotel with beautiful, colorful old gardens located in a very idyllic bay. Simple breakfast and home cooking served at the buffet. Very friendly service staff. There are many other restaurants and bistros in the area, which provide culinary variety. A budget hotel for those who appreciate the simple Greek country house style. Gladly again. Rooms: 3

The beds and the food can still be improved. The garden is awesome, where you can eat under the flowering trees and bushes with a view of the sea. A wonderful hotel, truly typical, with its magnificent bougainvillea. The room decor is spartan, but we don't care, and anything else would take away the charm. The hotel is very well located in the town of Sisi. Which has many souvenir shops, car rentals... you have a small beach, the deckchairs are dirty (it's clear and not numerous so bring a towel etc... You will find a beach 800 meters away on foot , passing in front of the Sisi bars/restaurants (opposite the hotel Some tourists set out their towels and then leave (totally disrespectful, but we won't change people!! . The tavern (the hotel restaurant is very pleasant, also under the bougainvillea, nicely lit and decorated. The dishes are quite varied (even if there isn't a huge choice , but we manage to eat properly! I, who am very very picky and have health problems, was able to find what I liked all week. The rooms are very simply furnished but ours was clean. The food can indeed be improved, not to say terrible, but if you book three stars you can't expect 5! That's why I don't understand some recessions. The same goes for the entertainment program. It is clear in the hotel description that this does not exist here. So why complain then? The hotel and the location are perfect for people who are looking for peace and quiet. If you want animation and action, you should travel to Malia. There is hustle and bustle there. When it comes to eating, there are more than enough options in the immediate area to enjoy delicious meals at really reasonable prices. By far the most recommended. The local is Amalia, 150 meters away on foot. Super friendly staff and a kitchen an unparalleled culinary delight. Unfortunately, the mattresses in the room are extremely uncomfortable and we couldn't sleep through the night. Typical country music plays in the garden all day, seemingly on a continuous loop after 15 songs from the beginning. At some point the fuss gets to you. Luckily there is wobbly Wi-Fi in the hotel and you should take headphones with you so you can listen to your own music program... Conclusion: Hotel very simply equipped, food substandard, mattresses catastrophic, the facility fantastic. If you don't have high expectations and are primarily looking for PEACE from the hustle and bustle of the crowds, this is the right place for you.
