Bidra med feedbackMy family has had a hunting camp in Sinnamahoning since the 1930 's the Willows has been there for most if not all of that time. I 'm sure the name has changed as well as the ownership management but the food has always been good. Yes it can be a little pricey but keep in mind that there 's no market close by they have to travel quite a ways to just purchase necessities. My parents and I recently went up to see the autumn leaves and check the camp we stopped as usual at The Willows. I got the chili it was good but the recipe wasn 't my favorite (too many red beans); my father got a hamburger which he said was very good. My mom and I split a BLT when I ordered it I joked with my mom that even though I know that wheat bread is healthier we had to get the sandwich made with white . The waitress took it upon herself to make my half of the BLT with white bread and my mom 's with wheat. I thought that was very nice of her we didn 't even ask!! The French fries? EXCELLENT some of the best fries I 've had in a while. All in all it was exactly what we wanted, when we wanted it and the service (though a little slow) there were only 2 other patrons in the place was very nice. We weren 't in a hurry I have to remind myself that unplugging from technology and civilization is one of the reasons we go to Cameron County. We 'll be back and recommend it to others.
Once a year, some friends and I go on a fall foliage tour up in Elk county. For the past 4 years, we have stopped at the Willows as it appears to be the only place in the area for lunch. The Willows specializes in overpriced, institutional food. $11 for grilled ham and cheese, fries and iced tea. Wait staff are graduates of the honey badger school of hospitality 'cause like the honey badger, they don 't give a .... We noticed the Sinnemahonig Sportsman 's Club west of town advertising lunch and dinner. We will stop there next year. Do yourself a favor and avoid the Willows restaurant.
