Bidra med feedbackDecided to walk in on a Friday evening during a visit to 100AM. Service was great and attentive. The dishes tasted good, albeit on the saltier side in general. The rice, which they are known for, was really good. I am more of a noodle person, but the plain rice was so good that I had seconds. Portions were adequate. Cost is above average. Ambiance was alright, chairs could be cleaner. Try the pork loin on miso or the tonkatsu. Closing times seemed a little early. Parking was pretty packed but you should be able to get a space with a little waiting. But the hump at the entrance will definitely pose a challenge if you drive a low car, suggest to park somewhere else and walk over.
Lunch today after city sight seeing. Highly recommended the food. The phrase “Picture speaks more than a thousand words” is true to this place. Their food presentation in their menu is what we got in our tray. Food taste…delicious ! Will definitely come back to try other dish …
Ordered one of the top picks: Signature Pork Loin Hobayaki Zen $25.90) I was immediately drawn to this dish by the Magnolia leaf, very unique. I ordered the pork loin option and I’m not regretting my choice. The pork was grilled with wasabi miso sauce, it is really shiok, goes very well with meat and seafood, flavourful with a kick! It comes with rice set that includes tempura and sashimi. Ordered their Ika Maruyaki: Grilled squid served with shio kosho and teriyaki sauce! The squid is so soft and was grilled to perfection on the hot stove, and the sauce given went well together with the squid! Shout out to the roasted potatoes too!
The place was really clean and tidy, and it really inspired confidence especially during this current pandemic. I ordered a mini set and was pleasantly surprised when my meal arrived. The mini set ended up being larger than expected and the portions were generous. Loved the food and polished off every single grain of rice. I'm afraid I did not manage to catch the name of our server, but I would like to thank him for the warm welcome and his detailed introduction of the menu.
Takeaway @yayoisg Chicken Namban Teishoku Bento. Chicken well marinated then deep fried till perfection and topped with a generous dollop of the awesome tartar sauce. I love how tender and juicy it is and not greasy at all. It was simply scrumptious. The crispy chicken was good on its own but tasted even better with the tartar sauce. The bento also packed with white rice, mesclun, deep-fried gyoza 2pcs, and pickles. I top up to swop white rice to 16-grain. Ig: @zoey_belle
