Bidra med feedbackWent back today after my last visit a year ago, I like some of the new skewers choices for beef. Quality very good and consistent, Appreciate how the store also changed the aluminium foil to proper metal plate, heat is now better distributed and food can be kept warm longer. Overall it was a much better experience than my previous visit.
Not the easiest place to find a carpark lot over here, but still good pretty good bbq sticks. Meat is kind of tough and dry today though. Still loving that ‘beef lean and fat’ stick as usual. Oysters were great and juicy!! If you’re coming here for the first time, should try a few sticks before ordering lots of it, also use FAVE payment to save some money with its cash back, get $150 e-vouchers while paying only $120.
I heard from a friend who visited the Geylang branch that their menu is slightly different, with a variety of large vegetables available. In Bugis, the options seemed more limited, with only Japanese edamame and long beans. Those who prefer a bigger selection of greens may want to consider visiting the Geylang branch instead. The food is served on sticks, so be sure to pay attention to the quantity when ordering. Prices can add up quickly, as my group of five ended up spending around $250 on sticks. However, if you are unable to finish your meal, takeout is allowed to avoid food wastage. The service was relatively fast, although some items like octopus tentacles took longer to cook but were delicious. The staff barbecue the food and serve it on a heated table top tray, so be careful not to touch it when it's hot. There is a choice of spicy or original flavors, with most people opting for the spicier option. Alcoholic beverages are available, with TsingTao beer being a popular choice. The beer was surprisingly light and not overly carbonated. Overall, I found the concept of BBQ Box to be unique and enjoyable, and I will definitely be returning for more.
BBQ Box is a Chinese restaurant known for its delicious BBQ meat skewers. I can't wait to come back again soon. It's a great spot for enjoying BBQ skewers and drinks. We ordered a variety of side dishes, BBQ skewers, and alcohol, but the bill was still reasonable. The staff were friendly and helpful, especially when I needed help with my third plate of spice. They also explained why we couldn't take alcohol from the fridge and showed us to our table. I give this place two thumbs up. The food was fresh and flavorful, unlike some other places that can be overly spicy, salty, or oily. Just be aware that some menu items like Chongqing fish or chicken may not be available. On the bright side, the selection of alcohol is extensive and satisfying. I highly recommend trying the lamb meat skewers. Can't wait to visit again soon!
Amazing Chinese style skewers that were well seasoned (main seasoning cajun spice which I thoroughly enjoy). One item that really stood out was their popular cajun wings wings were so tender/juicy and cooked to perfection. Be sure to order the mushrooms too! Ps: this is not a diy bbq joint, food is cooked by the kitchen and then placed on the 'box ' (ie heating plate) to be kept warm. I was impressed by the quick service considering how packed the place was. Place opens till 130am on Fris and Sats and I could see consistent trickling of people still coming in at 1130pm. Note: Reservations can 't be made after 6pm. Location is convenient to get to as it 's just opp one of the Bugis MRT exits. Downside: even though the skewers were placed on a hot plate to be kept warm, our skewers still turned cold eventually. Could be likely due to us sitting under the AC. Interesting gimmick: free dental mouthwash up for grabs (placed by the wash basins)
