Bidra med feedbackWe always drive by this location and decided to give Sutter Mill a try. The interior resembles a time capsule from possibly the prohibition era. We were seated in the back area and the room seemed so private. It was nice to enjoy a really great dinner with my husband in such an intimate setting. The food was good and the service was excellent.
My friend and I, actually enjoyed our dinner and experience. Really very tasty food and outstanding service. All interior was very nice.
I was craving a prime rib so went here. They were not that crowded for a Friday night. I ordered the prime rib dinner. It comes with your choice of soup or salad. I choose the salad. It was a normal garden salad. Nothing special or fancy about it. I was told I could get mushrooms on my prime rib. They were delicious and plentiful. The prime rib and horseradish sauces were delicious (creamed/regular). The prime rib did have a lot of fat in the middle of it. I choose stuffed baked potato. I would not recommend. It was not that flavorful and very dry. Maybe ask for sour cream if you order it. I choose to have just a few bites of it. The service was great. My waitress was very attentive and helpful.
THE WORST $96 meal I ever had and that was after they took off the chicken meal lol. Chicken Picata was so overcooked dry no sauce w burnt/mushrooms or was the burnt bits the capers? not sure. but I am sure that is not how it is made, not even in prison. Stuffed potato was just a potato with a scoop of butter and quickly mixed up with a fork. Macaroni cheese was a bowl of wet noodles and a clump of cheddar cheese melted on top, really? how do you get mac wrong? The steak did come rare but completely unseasoned...why??? you could have done one thing right but no, you chose to not even throw salt n pepper at it. $7 garlic cheese toast, what could go wrong you ask? well, Gordon Ramsey stuck pre-toasted bread in the microwave to melt some cheddar on top. Yum, rubber biscuits for everyone! But all was not lost, the angry waitress LOUDLY stomping up and down the narrow hollow walkway between tables was a real treat. She silently flung the menus and scurried about like she would rather be at a funeral until she saw some friends come in. Then she was super bubbly and happy! That didn't last long, as soon as she turned to seat another table she turned her lovely snear back on! What a delight!
UPDATE: Previous review: 5 stars Current review: 3 stars Previously I explained you can order the burger charred outside, pink inside, like any decent chef can do with a higher flame. And also getting the mac and cheese brown and bubbly on top by asking that they stick it under the broiler a little longer. Now, you have to argue with the kitchen in a back and forth with the server to get it, then it comes wrong anyway. Burger overcooked beyond well done to disgustingly inedible proportions, mac and cheese ice cold fresh out of the fridge apparently. Too bad, so long, Sutter's Mill. Enjoy your old folks home clientele, it's all you're getting henceforth. Previous review: 5 stars Fabulous restaurant AS LONG AS YOU ORDER CORRECTLY ! Get the Wally burger, big half pound burger, be sure to order it charred on the outside, pink on the inside and it will be scrumptious. Don't forget to ask for bacon! Get the Mac and Cheese but don't just let it come, it will be cold and runny. Ask for it brown and bubbly on top, they'll put it into the broiler until it is precisely that, and then it's nearly the best product in the restaurant, and easily better than any other mac in the city. And of course, you must get their twice baked potato, which is itself heavenly. New York cheesecake for dessert.
