Malt Shop - Silverton

I'm glad we stopped in. At first I wondered what we'd gotten into. It didn't look like much and when we went in the young man was so quiet I could hardly hear him. We ordered anyway. My husband got the meatloaf special and enjoyed it. It had good portions. I tasted his mashed potatoes and they were home cooked, lumps and all. Delicious. I was about to give up on getting my chicken strips, thinking how long does it take to fry a few little strips. I was shocked to see them when they came out! Three humongous chicken tenders that looked hand battered. Each one would have made a meal. They were tender and so good. It came with fries and they were good as well, although a bit oily for me, but I have to be careful with that. My husband had to help me finish it all. The place was surprisingly clean. Floors and tables had been cleaned and you can tell. I'd sure come back. I couldn't take pictures as my phone was dead. :

We ordered two chef salads, like $12.50 each, the salads were small, and one of the cups for the salad dressing barely had anything in it. Overall way overpriced for what you get.

Not the most elegant of restaurants, but the food is good and the service is attentive and friendly, certainly not a place to turn your nose up at. Go in and enjoy the good food and company. Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch Price per person: $1–10 Recommended dishes: Hamburger
