Coal Bank Taqueria - Silverton

After spending 3 days in Silverton, Coal Bank Taqueria Trattoria by far had the best food out of all the places we tried. Fantastic cocktails as well (can't recommend the Lime Margarita enough)!

Delicious food, fun decor, and friendly staff! Love the vegan veg options, and the flavor was fantastic! The flavored rice and beans really upped the taste, yum!Vegetarian options: Great vegan and vegetarian options! Delicious too!

Perfect street tacos! Came here from the Durango Silverton train to avoid the tourist trap saloons . Was able to eat and continue looking around instead getting stuck on a waiting list like everyone else. Just walk 50 feet more and enjoy the food!

This place is insanely good. The burritos are huge and awesome. The green chili cheesey chicken soup is definitely home made and some of the best I've had.

We had drinks and chips and salsa here. The service was great and I liked the atmosphere but I thought the chips and salsa were only so-so, therefore we decided to look around town for something different to eat. After poking our noses in every restaurant in town and eating across the street from Coal Bank Taqueria (bad idea), I’m convinced by the photos and reviews that Coal Bank Taqueria likely has the best food in Silverton. So I probably missed out by not eating there. Drinks were delicious though. I’m grading on a curve today, so 5 stars for Coal Bank Taqueria!!! Don’t make the same mistake I made! Take a tour of the town then sit and have a drink and food at Coal Bank Taqueria.
