Sligo Pit Bbq - Silver Spring

Greasy yet dry meat. Beef was almost like jerky. Mac and cheese was nothing to write home about. Pork was slightly better, but also greasy. Staff were very friendly though. It's the only reason they got two stars instead of one. $20 down the drain. There's other local BBQ that's more worth your time and money.

Pulled pork sandwich was ok on the whole, but approx. 1/3rd of meat on sandwich was inedible fat and gristle. The slaw tasted like the only ingredient was mayo. Also there was some up charge for COVID, which seems odd. I didn’t get nearly what I paid for. I’d like a partial refund or credit in the future.

Omg! I tried the slider sampler about 2 months ago, which I thought about since the day I went through sligo creek pkwy. you will get 3 options: pork, bark and chicken and BBQ sauce on the side pulled. two words: juicy aromen. wait! I sounded like gordon ramsay! I'm from the middle west, so I know good bbq when I taste it! I hear it's only at the weekend place, so I'll go back during the weekday, as I did when I found it by chance. delish!

Try the slider sample to get each of the meats. the sides are cheap and they give them generous portions. the children loved the Mac cheese. the bbq pits are decorated like a train! they also have Jumbo-sized stack blocks / jenga, and kornloch. solid spot directly at the Sligo-Breek-Trail to foot / run / bike too.

I had a smoked beef brisket from there today, the beef was cold and came out shredded like pulled beef. It looked and tasted nothing like bbq. I thought I was getting a real nice and hot chunks of brisket but was very disappointed. My husband ordered some sliders and hated them!! Also the place needs so serious cleaning. It looks messy and dirty.
