143 Street Tacos - Sierra Vista

I stopped in for a snack and had a vegan taco without Guacamole. The staff was very friendly and happy to accommodate. The food was great and reasonably priced. I told them I was vegan and they suggested the vegan bowl or vegan tacos. Their large tortillas are made with lard, so burritos were not an option. The do have a number of tables indoors where it is cool and they are currently spaced for social distancing.

When we got here we were greeted with this sign stating that they do not take any pride in food prep. They cross contaminate everything so if you have any food Allergies, they simply don't care. Here's the sign: Food Allergies and special Diet Please forgive the inconvenience but we rather not take the risk of serving you because we cannot modify our menu for your needs. Everything can be cross contaminated with other ingredients, such as, peanuts, lactose, gluten, etc. Thank you

Excellent vegan option, the veggie bowl. Fresh guacamole, rice, beans, etc. Not on the menu, you have to ask for it. The staff was very friendly and inviting.

Veg burrito is good! Not sure what sign people are referring to.. vegans may have a more difficult time but when I asked “what can you make vegetarian?” They said pretty much anything on the menu. They were nice about it too.
