Bidra med feedbackOur group had a fantastic time on this tour! It is absolutely one of the best food tours we have been on. In fact, calling it a food tour doesn't do it justice! This is a cultural anthropology tour that also includes fantastic food! Mohammed is an outstanding guide with local roots and a passion for teaching. We thoroughly enjoyed all of the delicious food, cultural information and experiences of the afternoon. This is definitely a must-do activity when in Chicago!
This tour was great and the food was delicious! Mohammad was extremely personable and was willing to answer any questions we had. His life experiences really put a personal touch on the tour and made it easy to relate to him. I've been so interested in the Indian culture, so this was the perfect tour for my visit to Chicago. You can really tell that Mohammed wants to educate people about this great niche in Chicago, but also tell about the country of India itself. He really taught me a lot of new information and inspired me to continue to learn about this great culture! I will definitely be bringing more people back to the tour and hope to even explore Little India more extensively in the future!
Taking this tour again............. Highly recommended! I took this tour (Little India) with my friend, we had an amazing time at the tour. It was more than a food tour I got henna (temporary tattoo) of my favourite baseball team on my hand. We visited south Asian spices store, Hindu temple (my first time ever) and boutique where we wore Indian dresses and took pictures. Not to forget the tastiest food I have ever had in Chicago, that South Asian and Arabic cuisine is a no miss. Mohammad's knowledge on each subject is immense and not to forget his humour which made learning fun. Looking forward to going to Chinatown, Chicago tour offered by Spice of Life Tours.
An amazing experience in all aspects! The food was beyond delicious. Very informative something I definitely suggest to all my friends if they're in the Devon area. Muhammad singlehandedly made the tour a five star experience, he's literally the best at what he does. Definitely worth the experience.
My family (my wife, 18 year old daughter, and I) experienced a delightful Mediterranean food tour in early June, 2015. Our guides, Mohammad and Wahiba, gave us an authentic taste of the history, culture, and flavors of the Albany Park neighborhood. Their love of this community showed through in their enthusiasm. I've eaten a lot of Mediterranean food in my lifetime. This was hands down the best. The restaurants were comfortable and the cuisine was authentic, delicious, and plentiful. We sampled both Lebanese and Persian dishes. Mohammad gave us a tour of a specialized local grocery where we watched pita being made from scratch. We stopped by an interesting hookah shop, and tasted delightful desserts at a neighborhood pastry maker. Wahiba gave us amazingly intricate, beautiful, free hand henna tattoos as a finale. We all enjoyed every minute of this 3 1/2 hour tour and plan to take the Little India tour on our next visit to Chicago. If cultures interest you, or if you like good food, don't miss this tour.
