Michael's Original Pizzeria Tavern

Not a good delivery experience. They had put the salad dressing on the salad we ordered (there was no option for us to indicate a preference)…and had delivered it on it's side, so it was leaking salad dressing and we got a soggy salad. We'd ordered Eli's cheesecake for desert, but instead received a brownie from Kleins (not a comparable substitute if you ask me…and they didn't). Friendly staff, great atmosphere, great wings…pizza ‘well done’ on our part was disappointing…it was ‘overdone’.

This is what true a true Chicago style pizza joint is supposed to be like. My first year I lived at an apartment complex up the road and one day randomly found this place while exploring the neighborhood. Great tavern style pizza that will leave you feeling full but not leave you in a coma like other “chicago-style” pizza places. The place has cheap beer and gives a real neighborhood sports bar vibe. Whenever I come back I always have to check this place off the list when I visit.

Good place to go, but not my favorite pizza by any means

Our waiter was awesome and he even made our spicy margaritas which were sooo tasty! Pizza was cooked to perfection and they have plenty of tvs to watch. Thank you for staying open in the snow storm while everyone else was closing!! Definitely coming back
