Twelve Thirty Two Cafe - Shropshire

We had been here before and it was fine, but this time it was woeful. It was absolutely freezing so we had to keep our coats on throughout. They seem to turn up seconds before opening, instead of getting there earlier and warming up the room and the coffee machine. The door could do with an auto closer on it, as the many sweaty cyclists who turned up seemed incapable of shutting it. The Americano coffees were weak and tasteless, though the other coffees and tea were OK. We were told it would be 20 minutes for the food but it was more like 40 and when it came it was cold. You can see from the photo how hot the toast was the butter has not melted at all. Everyone's bacon was like that in the other photo horrible white, unrendered fat that had to be cut off. Just incredibly disappointing, and not cheap either.

Stopped for lunch and had the loaded bbq Nacho's. Delicious plenty of filling.Also had regular latte which was piping hot. Lovely inside, spacious, staff friendly. Recommend.

Breakfast is the one meal i look forward to and on this day decided to travel to Albrighton and 1232 cafe. What a disappointment! Ordered american waffles with fried egg. When it arrived it was all presented on a side plate so on deconstructing the 4 high pile of cut waffles everything fell off the plate! Asked for a bigger plate they put my food on a stone cold dinner plate can you imagine how cold by this time it all was including the egg!! So again, i asked if they could do me an egg that wasnt stone cold (its not cheap there so you'd expect to atleast have warm food. New egg was made and food put on a hot plate, however, the bacon was so over done it shot off the plate when i tried to cut it and the heated up waffles were burned and harder than rock cakes. All i ended up eating from my much anticipated breakfast was the egg. Ordered a coffee which we were told was on the house but left there hungry and disappointed. Would rather have had my breakfast!

1232 is a wonderful cafe. All the food is fantastic and the staff are very friendly and polite. It’s a great place to sit on the way to the train station to while away an hour or so. Lovely.
