Bidra med feedbackWe stopped at this restaurant for lunch. I ordered the sausage casserole and my partner ordered fish and chips. The food was delicious and beautifully presented. The homemade chips were a nice touch. I especially enjoyed the casserole. Having cooked in Michelin star restaurants before, I can say that the quality of the food here was comparable. I highly recommend this place if you're out shopping in Oswestry.
This cafe has changed ownership once again, and is now known as Raya's Kitchen Cafe. The former owner is now the chef, and Raya, who previously worked at the cafe, is now the proprietor. The top-notch cooking remains the same, and Raya has made some improvements to the cafe and made a few small changes to the menu, though nothing drastic as it was already fantastic. I still highly recommend it for its delicious food, great service, and welcoming atmosphere. In my opinion, they serve the best breakfast in town along with other fantastic meals.
I recently revisited this cafe and was pleased to find that it has changed ownership for the better. The new decor is bright and inviting, with rustic chairs that give the place a cosy feel. The food is still delicious and reasonably priced, and the atmosphere remains friendly and welcoming. While the cafe is on the smaller side and tends to fill up quickly, it's worth taking a stroll through the market stalls and returning when a table becomes available. The breakfast options are particularly tasty and come at a great value, including toast and coffee or tea. The fish is fresh, the batter is homemade, and the hand-cut chips are a delicious touch. I highly recommend this cafe and am a frequent visitor myself.
We came here with friends for breakfast and everyone enjoyed their food. Between us we had a fried breakfast, sausages, egg, beans and chips, baked potato with cheese and beans, and a sausage sandwich. The prices are nice and cheap and the food tasty. Food is ordered at the counter, but is brought to the table. We all got our food and drinks promptly and it was all nice and hot. The cafe was clean and had a cheery atmosphere. We would definitely go back.
On first sight the cafe at the top of the market place looks pretty unprepossessing. There are ripped padded chairs which look unpleasant and a bit rough but the service was friendly and the food was lovely. My daughter and I had the roast beef dinner which was huge and very nice for£5.50, my husband had sausage chips and beans and and other daughter had a cheese and tomato toastie with the best chips I've had anywhere. We would return for the chips alone but would recommend the other food too. We had a coffee and water so 4 very generously sized plates of food and drinks cost £21.30 which was a bargain. We would return.
