White Horse - Shrewsbury

First visit since the refurb. Delicious food, informative and friendly staff.

We visited the white horse for the first time last week after hearing such good things about the place after it’s refurbishment and it did not disappoint. The interior was beautiful and the detail throughout the entire pub was very cleverly thought about. The staff all seemed extremely friendly and welcoming and looked like they enjoyed their jobs, which was lovely to see. We ordered 3 of the small plates and were told in advance what was out of stock to avoid disappointed which I especially appreciated. Alice are waitress was bubbly, lovely and extremely friendly and made sure we had plenty of drinks and advised us on her favourite foods. We had the goat cheese croquettes, loaded fries and gunpowder cauliflower which all tasted amazing, the portion sizes were extremely generous and great value for money, the food was also beautifully presented and our entire experience was made by the staff and there dedication to providing a perfect service. I would recommend the white horse to everyone and can’t wait to return to try more of the delicious food.

Faultless in every way, vegan options were easily the best I've tasted, innovative tasty. Meat eaters with us tell me the same. Service was impeccable, thanks to all the staff there for a great evening.

Since the reopening we have been twice, and both of them were the personal attention and eating was amazing, although we are quite fussy. the building itself is beautiful and the love for detail is fantastic from glass to the various light fittings! nothing was too much annoyed, and we were advised what would not be too spicy. these were placed on the side for us to try and add when we liked them. service was efficient and friendly from anyone we met.

Had a brilliant experience here today. the staff was very friendly and helpful. modern menu with choice to suit all taste directions. we had small teller selection that was delicious, especially the hot smoked salmon. booked to return for sunday roasts, the finger crossed so well. also the inner is large, no money wasted on the sanation. to wish them every success,
