Bidra med feedbackFirst, the food is delicious. I wish it wasn't because I really will miss not coming here. Below are my sadness, in the order of gravity. 1. There was a fingernail in our salsa. Yeah, we're safe. No, it wasn't a piece of cheese or onion or something else that could look like a demolition of the human fingernails. We chose it and still ate the salsa, but we were more and more divided than we continued our meal. 2. They invite you for pages (like sour cream they never bring you. 3. I have a personal problem with the shields on both sides of the restaurant that the guests admonish to pay your server. Please tip would be bad enough, but please pay? Isn't that the employer's job, even in our confused tipping culture? 4. If you ask for a virgin drink that is specifically listed as alcohol-free on the menu, you will bring a version with alcohol into it (not a problem for all, but relevant for a few in the recovery. Again, unfortunately everything was really delicious and I still have residues of this trip that I intend to finish. But we won't be back.
My family and I met Trejo for my niece's birthday before we returned to Houston. Customer service was fine, the waiter seemed somewhat overwhelmed and forgot some things, including the order of the birthday girl. The food including the chips/salsa was really bland. I wouldn't call this Mexican food. Save time and money and find another place to eat.
It was my first time to eat here. I'll give him a 4 star for dinner. The disadvantage is after my husband and I finished eating, was the only time someone came to the table to bring the check. And ask how everything was. But the other customers of another color got great service. We were never asked if we needed anything. We still left a tip despite the great service.
So, we decided to stop at this place on the way home because it is convenient. Not my favorite, but not bad. They were a little busy with lunch. We'll sit down and everything's normal. Things begin to turn around the worse than my friend asked for more chips. Instead of being more polite, the manager (server) tells me a few minutes. He got himself and tried to say and fix it, but this beginning wasn't okay. I let it go, not biggie. Then my glass was never filled again, others were, but not mine. Then my son asked for a steak knife and it was never brought. Finally, the nail in the coffin was that my friend, without thinking, was a $5 tip on a $70 meal. Well, that's understandably low, but he just did it without thinking about how this is what he does during the week and didn't think about how the prices for the weekend are clinked. What brings me is that the manager (server) actually came to get the bill after it was signed and looked at my friend and he put you $5 on a $70 bill? My friend just replied yes. Others can't vote, but for me this is awfully unprofessional. A tip is not required and is based on what the customer wants to grant. Not to mention, the service was missing... and He is the manager! (or owner... not sure) If it was brilliant, I would even understand something, but only because you're smiling means 't your service is good. I don't feel comfortable going back to this restaurant, sad. To be confronted, makes me stay away.
I like to say that the beef fajitas were terrible. And why wasn't the beef fajitas on a hot cast iron skillet? The beef were all rubbery and no flavor what so ever. The onions and peppers looked like they been sitting a while, and rice was flavorless and very dry. The beans had a coating on them like they were sitting a while as well. I recommend not eating here. The tortilla were crunchy( not soft). For the price I paid for I would expect it to be fresh. Don't try to steal tip money from me. I paid cash for a meal(which for 1 person was steep of 26$ of nasty food) of $40 and the waiter never returned my change of payment for the meal. Meaning he stole the rest of my hard earned money. I would have tipped well but not when they forcefully take my money.
