Bidra med feedbackSo me an my wife were out in city running errands an decided to stop here for lunch on our way home…. First Time here..We decided to get our food to go since I had to work later…. We got the pork chop dinners an sides…. Once we got home we found out our food was old an probably was a day old or so judging by the color of the chip…Didn’t get a chance to call that day because I had to work.. Called the next morning a talked with Charlie the supervisor who basically told me I was lying about the food and that I had to bring back both plates which were both in the trash by now. I just called to discuss the situation but clearly bad attitudes just like the bad food as she rushed me off the phone saying there is nothing I can do for you an hung up… It was my first an last time here… Will definitely NOT recommend this place to anyone….
I had the catfish plate. Freshest fish I've had in a long while. Vegetables are always good as well.
Hands down one of the best restaurants in Shreveport if your looking for an amazing southern home cooked meal. The exact definition of Comfort Food not to mention the best waitresses in town. The customer service was superb! Every time we come to Shreveport from Dallas we have to eat here at least once!
This used to be my favorite place to get omelettes because they’re the best just big and wonderful and amazing and I got food poisoning last time I was there, so I don’t really have much great to say about it anymore. I was really disappointed.
It's a staple in the community, and you can know exactly what it's like by any diner in any movie. The only difference would be smoking inside, which is no longer allowed for many years now. Walking into this place always makes me feel like I'm in an old movie, they close at 3:00 p.m. And they open... I want to say at 6:00 a.m. they have daily specials for each of the days of the week, printed on the menu, and innumerable variations of breakfast items you can combine in any way you want. Plenty of entrees like chicken, fried steak and pork chops, as well as a whole slew of burgers, and your standard drink list. The clientele is mostly of a retirement age, and yet the time it takes to order, receive the food, eat it, and leave is probably one of the shortest in the city. There's only typically two, maybe three at most waitresses and it's a small area for the dining. Everyone basically knows everyone by name, so there's a homey feeling to the restaurant , becoming more like your aunt's dining room. There are a lot of police officers that frequent This establishment, take that whichever way you take it. I'd do recommend this place, though. You should be foreigned that it's standard food at reasonable prices with quick service. So it's not five star meals. But the quality is Good, it's not pre-frozen pre-packaged nonsense. And the quantity of the meal is large as I'm typically walking out with a to-go box as a 250 lb 6 ft tall 32-year-old dude. And that's just from a bacon cheeseburger and fries. Oh and try the chocolate pie.
