Bidra med feedbackSauvage restaurant has a great atmosphere, awesome service, and excellent food. Definitely a nice place to go eat with your friends or on a date. The prices are higher than you typical restaurant, but this is not your average restaurant. The food is definitely worth the price. Plus you can?t beat the dining experience. Last but not least Connor was the best!!!!
I have to say this was the first time we've ever been here and it was very nice. The room was well lit and the atmosphere was inviting. The waitress was very friendly and information at first but then we didn't see enough of her later. I thought my sister's salad was a bit lame. Needed more greens. My wife had the tuna nachos which were fabulous. Highly recommend those. The entrees were extremely tasty but mine was not hot enough for my satisfaction. My wife thoroughly enjoyed her chicken fried steak with fresh green beans. Our desserts were incredibly excellent. The key lime pie was wonderful it had just enough zest to make your palate take notice. My wife had the vanilla creme brulee and she was extremely satisfied with the opening crunch. The only issue I had was that they didn't take the opportunity to offer bread to soak up all the wonderful juices and gravy we had left. That is an upsell opportunity that they need to embrace. I want to come back for more but they need to understand I desire more when it comes down to my evening. We plan on returning and give them another shot to incorporate a little bit of laggnape.
Sauce has a nice atmosphere and good amount of sitting. They have a simple but creative brunch. The only downside is the water. This is a low point for most restaurant in the Shreveport-Bossier area. I would recommend buying a drink if you are a customer. However, the restaurant should use a filter or sparkling water as their standard water...never serve straight tap water.
We drove all the way over to Sauvage to try the Sunday brunch menu. The surrounding area was nice, the restaurant was ok with their dumpster in the open instead of its concealed fenced in area, mops laying up against the building. Once we got inside, we were greeted by a host seated. There are two seating areas, both are rather tight with no outside dining option. We were seated, but it was about a few minutes for our drink order but waited 20+ minutes to put in our food order while other tables were being served. I ordered chicken waffles, my food was bland. There was a pinch of salt in the chicken tender batter but that waffle tasted like dry paper. My daughter enjoyed her endless mimosas her crab cake Benedict. I thought the crab portion, they use real crab, was small compared to the muffin it sits on. My wife enjoyed her chicken fried steak mashed potatoes. We had crab cakes, small in portion, devil eggs, small eggs with some paprika, I didn't think these were worth the price. I also had a mud martini, it was okay with a very small hint of chocolate that was barely noticeable. Food presentation was nice. As I ate, I looked at the decor and noticed there was large webs with dust stretching across the chandelier, the chandelier is directly over the table with patrons dishes. Nobody wore masks. I would probably give another dish a try but I wouldn't make a special out of the way trip for it.
First time visiting this place. Went here to celebrate my son's birthday. Wasn't as impressed with the food for the prices. Had to send one order back because it wasn't seasoned well so it tasted bland and not palatable. Not sure if I'll eat hear again.
