Licano's - Show Low

Eating and service was great. the personal was attentive and friendly. and will come back in the first place. had a enchilada meal with choice of red or green sauce. red sauce was not sweet as a couple of places excellent!

Their garlic shrimp and shrimp Vera Cruz are awesome. They also have good margaritas reasonably priced. Servers have always been super nice

I don’t know how ANYONE can give this place any rating above 2, the “prime rib carne asada” was bland , had it not been for the grizzle and fat, there would have been no taste, the rice was unusually “red” and beans faired no better, tasteless and bland. The Chile relleno (think that’s what it was) was batter with a sliver of what we believed to be a green Chile, the “sauce” , was something yellow. The shredded beef taco was, well, BLAND and the tortilla was almost fried. Makes me wonder if the cooks worked for a hospital in previous job, food was THAT tasteless. The highlight of our meal was the shredded lettuce , tomato chunks and chips and salsa with some OK fountain drinks. I wonder if the people who give this place 5 stars are either paid, friends and family members who get special treatment or people who think Taco Bell is authentic Mexican food? We did not have any drinks in the bar, which seems to be the only part of this restaurant that gets consistent high marks. I’ve noticed no one in any form of management seems to answer the reviews, showing their contempt for the low ratings.

The service was great! The food is above average. The bacon wrapped filet was perfectly cooked to medium rare. Would suggest this restaurant to anyone looking for a fairly priced lunch or dinner with a large offering of plates.

Wife I discovered' this place today. Been to Show Low many times and somehow never saw Licano's. Our loss. Food was very good at a fair price and came out quickly and hot. Service was first rate. Our new favorite Mexican food place in town. Will definately be eating here again.
