The Sandbox Cafe - Ship Bottom

My mom was born and raised on the island and her parents still live in her childhood home. We visit often since we now live in Vermont and my Aunt suggested coming here. Wow! I have never been so full in my life! The blueberry granola pancakes were amazing and I have to recommend the cinnamon toast crunch French toast, so delicious! The staff was friendly and attentive and the overall atmosphere were great. It was a little noisy but there's not much you can do about that! Great place to have an amazing meal....you will definitely have left overs!! Pancakes are massive and delicious best pancakes ever tasted!

Best breakfast we've ever had on the island and we've been coming for years!! Wish we explored and found this little gem sooner! The specials are fabulous. Food is excellent, friendly service with a smile and loved the atmosphere. So worth the short drive to the other side from Beach Haven. Can't wait to go back :

Hands down our favorite restaurant both locations. The sizzlers custom made to order Oreo is a fav along with peanut butter and jelly), the pancakes are the best on the island, baked Parmesan egg is worth the wait. Lunch is my favorite the Bada Bing wrap!!! In addition to great food the owners are the nicest people who truly care about what they serve. 10 stars!!!

Went to ship bottom today. Awesome atmosphere. Awesome staff. Great food. Loved everything about the place. My daughter even got some of those sticky bendy pipe cleaners to okay with instead of just regular old crayons and paper. Bethanny was our server and she was great! Pancakes were huge and so good!

By far my favorite place for breakfast place!!! I'd be here every day if I could! Heck I'd work here if I lived close enough. Well worth the 7 hour drive!! Dana is a wonderful warm inviting person. She makes it all happen!!!!
