The Hunan Star on Kiehl is not much for the atmosphere, but who cares when the food is this hot, tasty and stacked high to make two meals of a lunch plate for under $15? Chinese food is rarely this filling, and the egg rolls are the largest and best around. Yum!

I live just down the street from this restaurant, but today was my first time ordering food from there. The staff was incredibly friendly, and the service was quick! I tried the egg rolls and the shrimp fried rice. The egg rolls were hot, crispy, and delicious, while the shrimp fried rice was also hot and full of flavor. They give you a generous portion of rice, too! I ended up sharing mine with someone when I got home. I will definitely be going back!

This was our first visit to the restaurant, and we were pleasantly surprised. The food was exceptionally tasty. Once we got home, we knew we would want to come back again. However, getting back to Kiehl Ave can be a bit challenging due to parking at Indianhead shopping. There are additional options for parking in the adjacent property if you need an easier way to return home.

This is my go-to Chinese restaurant. I've been dining here for nearly 20 years. The same owners have been running it, and the food is consistently excellent.
