Bidra med feedbackMy one complaint about this restaurant is how bad the service is. I went with a friend there for lunch and it took them well over 15 minutes to bring us the water and menus. Afterwards it took another 20 minutes to get our order! In the meantime they brought us a salad that looked like the manager special bags of old soggy salad you get a a grocery store. We ordered shrimp and a beef dish... Quality was OK, nothing special to rave about. Wouldn't visit this restaurant again. Update 12/18/19 Gave this place a second chance and it was much better a second time around. The lunch is inexpensive and you get a lot of food for your money. The salad still falls short, but their hot and sour soup and their assorted sea food platter had plenty of flavor! As an appetizer their cream cheese wontons were crispy and they didn't skimp on the cream cheese either. Very very good customer service, and this time the food was served quickly after ordering. I wouldn't mind coming back for lunch
THE BEST Chinese Restaurant in the ENTIRE Valley. Every single dish is incredible. Everything you order is fresh, delicious and delightful. Every person, from the servers to the patrons, are ecstatic to be there. We have been coming to Bamboo for almost 20 years and every time we go we are reminded about how special and wonderful this restaurant is. Joseph is practically family and we hope to visit for another 50 years.
Only lived in Los Angeles for 40 years and we finally found a great Chinese restaurant. All of the meals were delicious and the owner was so friendly. Too bad we live in West LA. But it will be worth the drive when we will crave mandarin food again.
Love this restaurant. Probably the best Chinese food in the area. Happily, they're also near my home and, as a bonus, they're open on Christmas day for take out or dine in! Every year, we order takeout to share with our family, after the movies, of course
Sitting modestly along Ventura Boulevard in the heart of Sherman Oaks, California you will find Bamboo Cuisine. We have found this tastefully-appointed Chinese restaurant to provide exceptionally fresh fare and a delightfully relaxed ambiance to boot. From the moment you arrive and enter into the front door, sounds of water resonate from a corner of the room instantly setting you at ease from the bustling town of L.A. But you’re away from all of what was left outside as soon as you entered, and only tranquility, expertly-prepared cuisine, and a friendly and efficient staff exist now to help make your meal that much more memorable. Having received the Award of Distinction as well as being named “The Best Chinese Restaurant In the Valley” by Zagat, the establishment takes pride in their acclamations. But what really makes the owners happy is seeing the pouring in of patrons from morning until night. A popular lunch spot for locals who are in the know, and a restful and relaxing dinner spot for regulars and visitors in the city, Bamboo Cuisine provides everything made-to-order to suit the cravings of most any appetite ready to be satisfied with some pretty amazing Chinese cuisine. If you’re in the vicinity and ready for an extremely flavorsome meal during lunchtime, stop into Bamboo Cuisine for a dining experience that’s not too heavy on the pocketbook. For under $20, my husband and I enjoyed items from the Lunch Specials menu, which came with hot tea, salad with ginger dressing, and Wonton or Egg Drop soup. The hot tea was refillable at no additional charge, while the salad and soup were filling and a wonderful prequel to our upcoming entrée choices. Shrimp Cashews, Beef Broccoli Chicken Fried Rice On this particular visit, I chose one of my favorites…Shrimp Cashews, while my husband decided on the Beef Broccoli presentation. Both dishes were served in colorfully-designed serving plates and included large shrimp, cashews and tender pieces of beef with freshly steamed and stir fried broccoli. A side of chicken fried rice accompanied these selections magnificently. Delicious, and such a deal for lunch in the nonstop L.A area, Bamboo Cuisine in the heart of Sherman Oaks is the place for that perfect lunch when you’re looking for delicious cuisine in a relaxed and tranquil setting.
