The County Members - Shepway

While staying nearby, we came across positive reviews for this pub and decided to have a family meal here. The bar lady and manager were incredibly friendly and welcoming, inviting our children to play pool to keep them entertained. They made us feel relaxed, as if we were regulars at the pub. We left thinking about how much we would love to live in the area just to frequent this pub. I highly recommend The County Members for their food and hospitality – 5 stars all around. Thank you for your kindness and delicious food!

I recently enjoyed one of the best homemade steak pies I have ever tasted. It was packed full of meat and absolutely delicious. My wife also thoroughly enjoyed her mac and cheese. Overall, we had a fantastic meal.

Last night, a group of 9 of us dined at The County Members. Kirsty and Pat had beautifully decorated the table with banners and balloons, adding a nice touch to our evening. They were attentive throughout the night, and the chef went above and beyond to accommodate our various dietary needs. The food was excellent - we enjoyed dishes such as Filled Yorkie, Steak and Ale Pie, and Fish Pie, all of which were tasty and satisfying. The fresh vegetables served on the side were plentiful. They were able to cater perfectly for our lactose and gluten intolerant guest, as well as another guest who was watching their calories. The vegan burger was huge, with two patties on one bun! The desserts were reasonably priced and delicious. The main courses and desserts were priced very reasonably, averaging at £19 per person. The atmosphere was quiet, as we were the only ones dining in the restaurant on a Thursday night, with a few others enjoying drinks at the bar. Despite this, the restaurant felt cozy and welcoming. Stopped here as part of the pub motorhome stopovers and it has to be some of the best food I’ve eaten anywhere in the world. The staff weee super friendly. Can’t speak highly enough of this place

4 of us stopped over for a meal friendly waitress nice bar guy but god get a better chef had scampi old refried chips and cold peas no salad had better at a truck stop
