Bidra med feedbackPetite Mort opened in 2011 on the site of the old favourite Star Anise in Onslow Road, Shenton Park. Run by New Zealander Todd Stuart, Petite Mort is renowned as one of Perth’s finest fine dining establishments. I don’t know why it took me so long to visit, maybe it was the restriction of only having a degustation menu at the weekend, but as it was our anniversary we decided to celebrate in style and the degustation seemed perfect. As we are now both intolerant to too much dairy, I emailed ahead to ask about the dairy
An authentic French dining in Perth where you’ll struggle to find those. In the middle of residential area, you can find this little hidden gem. The dishes are delicately cooked, the lamb for main was very good. The service is very frank and friendly. Could be quicker, but if you have enough time it’s a good place to enjoy dinner.
For a fine dining experience the food was worth the price especially doing the 3 course degustation. Staff were polite and accommodating. Dish of the night was the passion fruit soufflé with the punchiest sorbet. And the salmon was melt in your mouth delish! And everything was plated so perfectly!
Fantastic experience. <br/ Had 9-course degustation tonight. All of them are delicate and tasty. <br/ The portion is small, however, we are really full after eaten all. <br/ It took around 3 hours to taste the 9 dishes. <br/ Good spot to go if you have spare time and good mood.<br/ <br/ The soup and dead by chocolate was excellent! all the rest are great.<br/ I ve taste a lot of western desserts, but most are over sweetness. <br/ But these chocolates are just perfectly suited me.
Was really looking forward to this special evening and did not disappoint. Service was 10/10 and food was exceptional but not quite of the same mark. Just found that portion sizes(yes, I know it's French! were just a little undersized. Also found that there was a bit to much emphases on the sweet and buttery side of things(yes, I know it's French! and lacked a bit of savory to balance each of the 9 courses. Would have also liked to see a bit more vegetarian on the menu. Will go back for sure and maybe try the vegan detestation next time?
