Bidra med feedbackUpon initial perusal, Hearty Eats strikes one as an establishment of utmost charm, replete with a congenial atmosphere, a concept of singular uniqueness, and a visage that is undeniably modish. The denizens therein, the staff, are, by Jove, most amiable and contribute to an atmosphere of conviviality.Yet, alas, my culinary aspirations met with a trifle disappointment upon the tasting of the victuals. The menu 's grandiloquence promises a gustatory delight that, in truth, proves rather pedestrian. The fare, regrettably, leans towards the banal and lacks the gustatory magnificence befitting such an appealing milieu. One cannot help but feel that the culinary artisans erred on the side of caution, eschewing audacious flavor profiles in favor of an unadventurous path. And lo, the coffee, the elixir of wakefulness, proved a lamentable letdown. Despite the sanguine expectations engendered by the ambient milieu and the meticulous attention to detail in other quarters, the coffee fails to elicit approbation. 'Tis as though the makers remain oblivious to the canons of a truly exceptional cup. One beseeches, Hearty Eats, to apply more diligence to the noble art of coffee preparation. In summation, Hearty Eats, for all its trappings of excellence – the congenial atmosphere, the singular concept, and the amicable staff – finds itself hindered by a culinary and caffeinated experience that lacks the requisite panache. A locale replete with promise, alas, stymied by a gustatory experience that falls short of the grandeur one might have anticipated.
Pretty good, but I wouldn’t say great. If you’re looking for a good meal with vegan options, though, I wouldn’t hesitate to go here Vegetarian options: Vegan and vegetarian options are good
Got theiir vegan cream of mushroom soup (soup of the day, I think) and it was delicious! So was the build-my-own rice bowl I got. Their drinks are great too. Can't go wrong here.I miss their Brussel sprouts though. Dietary restrictions: Vegan, pescatarian, gluten-free
This restaurant is NOT SAFE for people with severe peanut and nut allergies like me. Long story short, I had an anaphylactic allergic reaction to the food here which landed me in the ER until late at night. I informed the cashier of my allergies upon ordering, and he reassured me the food should be safe. I reached out to the restaurant twice after the incident, and haven't heard anything back. I'm going to follow up either in writing or another way very soon.It makes me sad, because I was excited to find a fast health food, vegan friendly, locally sourced place like this. As someone with severe peanut and nut allergies, it's been hard to find safe vegan places because of the prevalence of peanuts and nuts in vegan food. It's great that this restaurant cares about offering gluten free food, but shouldn't they care equally about being genuinely accessible to the many people with life threatening peanut and nut allergies? Dietary restrictions: This restaurant is NOT SAFE for people with severe peanut and nut allergies. Sesame seeds are also in a lot of their menu items.
We were passing through Shelburne Falls once again. Much to our surprise we stumbled on to Hearty Eats. We travel by motorcycles and it’s always a challenge to find a healthy place to eat that offers gluten free items. This place is all gluten free. We got Lima Bean Kale soup that’s was delicious. We also shared the Fish Bits which was beyond delicious. This will be a stop we’ll make each time we come through Shelburne Falls. Dietary restrictions: Gluten free
