Hoo Wah - Sheffield

Delicious food, really fresh and hot, the salt pepper chicken is so good! we will order again.

This was the worst takeaway we have had in Sheffield. The crispy chilli beef tasted like it had been refried multiple times and was spat out. The lamb with the pancakes also evidently just chunks of dry reheated meat. One of the mushrooms in the stir fried veg had grit in it. The special choymein was revolting. £42 in total and 2/3 if it thrown away. I am concerned about the hygiene standards from this takeaway provider.

Wife and I still talk about how amazing Hoo Wah is even years after moving overseas. Used to go weekly many years ago. Now we go here every time we visit the UK and it never disappoints.

Ordered bbq spare ribs and salt and pepper chips. What I got was a bag of tasteless bones with a flavourless pot of sauce and reheated chips with 3 little pieces of onion and a dusting of powder. Avoid.

Food great, but service was disappointing. Got an email to say order delayed and got a new time, went at that time to collect. She said ‘it’ll be 1 minute’ and then went into the back and started cooking! It took 20 mins! I get staffing issues but just be honest with people, we would have gone elsewhere
