Bidra med feedbackBeautiful canal/lake tho needs a bit of a clean up. The cafe is temporarily closed. Free parking, can kayak etc in lake. Great place for dogs. Plenty of greenery for them to run around
Great weekend away good place to spend a day outdoors
This is a great little place, you can take all sorts out on the water at around £5 per vessel. The Café is great, selling a wide range of food but the site doesn't mind you taking a picnic. People seemed to respect the surroundings which is great, no litter or random dog cr*p around. Dogs must be on a lead at all times. There is a campsite as well right by the water that sectioned off away from the Day time public visitors. Kids play area and also not far at all from the Sea as you can see from the pictures Footage here:
Lovely scenic views, but I wouldn 't camp there again. Elvis the campsite manager is somewhat of a character who not only decided to rent out the only drinking water tap to the circus up the road, but decided it a great idea to lock the gates, stopping campers from entering or leaving the site while he went for a few tinnies at the circus. I had to march him back to let us in while trying to explain the health and safety implications of his actions, to which he replied I see what your saying but it 's better here than it used to be . Mind blown.
Great packed with interesting shops, pubs, harbour, etc. Don't go for the sandy beach. Whole coast around here is pebble and very little sand. Otherwise all the rest, crabs, fish, ice cream, food, etc all brilliant.
