Don Ciro's - Shawnee

Excellent Tex Mex in Shawnee. The Monterrey chicken was well marinated and slathered with plenty of Monterrey Jack cheese. The rice was well seasoned and just straight delicious. The sopapilla was ok. Also impressive was that each person also got an individual salsa and queso with the chips at the beginning of the meal. Would highly recommend.

We came to town for the balloon festival but weren't about to wait in line for 45 minutes for the festival food. We randomly found this place on Google and it was worth the weird drive through dark back streets. The birria tacos are so, so good, as were the other tacos and rice and beans. The service was friendly and considerate and the prices were reasonable.

The food is authentic, and I love that. Even though they have great salsa we got a bad batch, but it was fine the next time. (Being authentic that stuff happens from time to time . Anyone that loves real homemade Mexican style food will love this place! It's not tex-mex, (On the Border type food. My employer bought, as a special treat, lunch for us and the food was perfect, the salsa was so tasty, and the cheese sauce was exactly the way I like it!

The food is pretty good. The price is hard to beat. The service at lunch time was ok. I would eat here again. Try the spicy salsa!

Always top notch. My favorite place in town. Leo should write a book about 5 star service because that dude can run circles around most wait staff. So grateful to have them in our community!
