Penang Palace - SHAILER PARK

Chicken and sweet corn soup was awesome. Honey chicken was excellent Garlic king prawns was a little watery but nice flavour. Our Mongolian lamb never turned up so cant judge on that one.the mixed entree was too soggy by time it arrived but would imagine it would be nice if we lived closer. Special fried rice was lacking the special. Was more closer to just a fried rice.

The downside was there was a long wait when I picked takeaway up, they didnt tell me they were running behind until they gave me the order and apologised (if I knew I wouldve gone to get drinks and came back) when I got home I realise the Sweet and Sour Chicken was braised instead of battered like we ordered. But the Special Fried Rice was tasty, the Mixed Vegetables and Eggplant In Coconut Spicy Sauce is great and King Prawns in Malaysian Satay Sauce is extra yummy too! The Seafoods Combination In Garlic Sauce and Honey Won Tons (10) were a hit with the family too. They mention ordering directly for pickup so I might try that next time.

The food was delicious as always, but I was a little disappointed with the king prawn omelette because it had carrots and peas in it. If I had known, I would have asked for them not to be included. I have ordered this omelette twice before and it never had peas and carrots in it.

The dining experience is pleasant with several vegan choices available. The eggplant dish is particularly delicious.
