We were walking the established trail heading for Moos in early September ’19. We’d already stopped higher up for lunch and a beer but by time we reached here we were hot and weary and it was my birthday so another beer was in order and it’s still quite a hike to Moos. Sitting out on the veranda area at the bench tables it was very warm in the sunshine there’s a decent enough view of the valley below. Service was fairly quick and we just ordered our drinks, plenty of people were eating even though it was around mid-afternoon. The place is on what’s still a working farm so you pass through cattle on the approach and there’s some donkeys in the pasture too so they welcomed a scratch behind the ears as we departed. Recommend this as a stopping off point.
Unfortunately, we arrived here on a rather cloudy day. we arrived from moso, with the paths and then after a nice walk of almost two hours. the position of the hut gives the view, in particular, of the sixth and not only dolomites. we ate quickly because it threatened rain and it was very cold. Before leaving, we saw, among other animals, a huge scrofa that nursed its (I believe 10) pigs, rare circumstance.
We arrived in this hut after having made a good walk. apart from that there were many people, we ask if there is room for two and we are answered “where you can sit”. However aside from that father and daughter went like the wind, the food is good. unsuccessful detachment.
