Bidra med feedbackWhen I am back to my hometown I always find time to go to this fantastic agriturismo and enjoy il tagliere a mix of affettati, cheese, grilled vegetable and cresce di polenta (flat bread made with polenta). Located on the top of the hill, this agriturismo offers traditional local food alongside a great and friendly service. They also have a small swimming ideal for aperitif at the sunset when the Sun hides behind the rolling hills. Price on average.
We stopped here on a hot summer's day, and had a wonderful meal which included an amazing plate of Spaghetti Carbonara admittedly not something you'd imagine getting worked up about, but when it's done perfectly it's a thing of rare beauty, and that was the case here. The food is all hearty, rustic, local fare, and very good. After the meal we relaxed for the afternoon beside the small swimming pool.
It may seem like you're heading into the middle of nowhere, but once you turn off the main road keep on the unpaved road up the hill. You'll find this great rustic restaurant where abundant portions of simple yet excellent country fare are served. Great cornmeal crescia and antipasti of homemade salumi and veggies sottolio. On summer evenings the view from their huge picture windows is gorgeous.
