Great food and service! we were not even guests at the hotel and they treated us (or better) than the hotel guests who were sitting around us.

We ate here twice during our stay and found the entire experience to be thoroughly enjoyable and delicious. The first evening we had the Royal Rijsttafel, and the following night we partook in the Music Brews and BBQ event. The former gave us a very special dining experience with many small traditional dishes to taste paired with rice. At the end of the meal they even brought out two glasses of rose and two small chocolate cakes to celebrate our honeymoon! The BBQ event was a blast they had live musicians performing guitar/saxophone covers all night long, and a set menu which included buffet style BBQ options including lobster, squid, and ribs. Super delicious! Service was impeccable both evenings, with the staff even offering to take our photos for us when the food arrived. Would highly recommend the fun events/meals that Alila Ubud organizes at Plantation. As we were checking out, we spotted a sign for a 4 course dinner menu accompanied by a traditional lion dance and live Balinese music. Reservations recommended as these can fill up quickly. With the location of the hotel being so remote, Alila does a great job of programming fun meals that don't make you feel like you're missing out by not being in town.
