Fat Albert's - Seoul

Very friendly service! Good food at a decent price for Seoul. They even gave us a Guinness blanket for the baby! Would definitely go back.

Fat Albert's is one of the oldest ex-Pat bars in Itaewon. First opened in the 2000s, it was literally the only open shop in the now famous Itaewon Alley street (not sure the actual name) all the other buildings were left or rented and nobody thought it was a first-class location. Later Al expanded to include a Sam Ryan's in the 2nd. Stock a Dam Ryan's in Suwon and a third location in Busan Hundae Beach area to open. Not sure if these places are still open? However for years Fat Albert's (Three Alley Pub) has been a lonely bar on the street. Other shops near large corporate bars and investor clubs soon opened. They have come and have gone, but Fat Alberts is the consistent bar at this point. Unfortunately, the owner Al Sam Ryan died in 2019 or 2020, but his legendary bar continues to live.

Amazing place for Westerners. Fair prices for Itaewon too... about 5000 won for a beer or a double vodka cranberry. Plus the owner is very friendly. It's a nice relaxed atmosphere. Loud music but I don't mind. Good energy.

The food's ok. Staff are very nice. Drinks are OK. Place is a bit run down.
