Sake Japanese Restaurant - Selkirk

Love this cute Japanese place, owned by the sweetest family! They are welcoming and polite, great service. Have been here a few times and ordered different things. Got their spicy pickerel roll, was really good!! Recently tried their Korean wing combo which is new on their menu! The food was super flavourful the wings were crispy and yummy), presentation was great as well! Also got the beef teriyaki since it's a staple and they do it well here. Portion sizes for the combos are great for the price $20).

We dined recently at Sake for the first time under the new new management, in April 2023. It was, in every bite, worth the five stars I gave in this review. Among the four in our group we sampled a pretty large assortment of their offerings and came away from the table with much appreciation for the ample servings of delicious food and the excellent service. Thank you to the table and the kitchen staff for making our visit so enjoyable!

I was very skeptical when i walked in because the place was completely empty and looked like it might be closed. but everything was very clean. their menu has a large selection of sushi. i ordered th spicy power roll, ac roll and danger roll. they were all amazing and were ready very quickly. i may come back to Selkirk just to eat here again. staff was also very fast and friendly. would give more than 5/5 if i could!

My daughter's and I have a tradition to go out to lunch the day before school starts. This year we chose Sake. We love sushi, but sometimes the different varieties can end up tasting the same... but not here. Delicious! We had yam tempura, miso soup, spider roll, smoked philly roll and spicy pickerel. All were very unique in their flavours and yummy. The server was super friendly without making you feel like someone was hovering over you. Definitely recommend coming here.

Fresh sushi prepared to order at reasonable prices. My boyfriend and I have been here twice now. Both times the sushi, sashimi and tempura vegetables were excellent. First visit, our waitress was not very personable but she was not rude. Second visit, our waitress was very personable and made our dining experience even more enjoyable! Menu has wide variety of choices. They even have ice cream for dessert. Best sushi I have found so far in the area. I look forward to coming here every time I visit.
