Claire and I visited the Jug 2nd October 2022 and it was excellent. We visit the pub from time to time and its on our list of ‘good places to go’ We wanted somewhere for good homemade food and called to book the day before as we knew they got busy. On arrival the landlord was as polite as usual offering us a choice of tables and eased us into drinks and a relaxing choice of food. The Sunday lunch is well portioned, great quality and the price is just amazing. We actually talked to the landlord as we felt they should charge more for the quality they provide. The response was that they value their customers more then their margin what can you say! Superb! Simply excellent approach and customer service values See you soon Thank you Rich and Claire x
From the minute we arrived at this lovely quaint pub we were made to feel like nothing was too much trouble. We ordered food and were told that it was all cooked from scratch so could be around a 30 minute wait. It was worth the wait! It was delicious! We were staying at and Airbnb about 30 minute walk away so I asked the owner how easy it was to get a taxi. Without hesitation, he told us that he would give us a lift back as it was no bother and it's just what they do! Thank you so much Mick. We are still blown away by your amazing generosity and would really hope to visit again one day. Thanks.
