The Grapes, Formby - Sefton

Asked for if steak and ale pie was short crust. I don't think that's an unreasonable question. Gentleman taking order said he didn't know. I asked him to please ask. Eventually I asked him to please ask the chef as the staff by the bar he asked didn't know. I was then told it was. When it came it wasn't, it was puff pastry. At this point, I gave up and didn't say anything. It was still nice though. Food: 3

The manager of the pub was really rude doesn’t deal well under stress and quite frankly poor behaviour not just towards his customers but staff. I really hope for the company’s sake he is replaced soon as it’s such a lovely pub that’s been my local for years but sadly I wouldn’t want to go in there again while he is the manger. cross house is nice and the fresh field pub round the corner highly rate them.
