Bidra med feedbackWent for a family visit everything was fine until eggs Benedict the egg was boiled not poached and the meal was cold so I do not recommend M&S please do better service
We stopped by for lunch while shopping on the estate. The menu wasn't very appealing, but we decided to stay and ordered a sausage breakfast roll and a 'crunchy cheese' jacket potato. Unfortunately, the potato only had cheese on it and no other toppings. Our drinks were served promptly, but the food took about ten minutes to arrive. The sausage roll was okay, but the jacket potato was barely warm with unmelted cheese. We asked for butter and mayonnaise to try and improve the dish, but it didn't help much. When we asked for the cheese to be melted, we were told it wasn't possible in the ovens they use. Overall, it was a disappointing lunch and not worth the price. We won't be returning and would recommend eating at a garden centre or even Asda instead. It's surprising that a company like M&S, known for quality food, would serve something like this.
I stopped by M S early in the morning shortly after they opened at 8am. I browsed the store, purchased some fresh bread, and then headed to the cafe where I enjoyed a delicious cappuccino and toast with jam. The service from the two ladies serving was excellent, with one even carrying my toast to the table. However, my positive experience took a turn when I visited the ladies' toilets just before 9am. Despite being one of the first customers to use the facilities that day, I found the toilet seat up and notably stained on the underside. The sink, a large Belfast type, was dirty and grimy in the corners, while the taps appeared to not have been properly cleaned in weeks. The bottom of the taps were grubby and stained, something that a good daily cleaning with bleach would easily remedy. I was surprised by the lack of cleanliness in the toilets, as it seemed there were no quality checks in place to ensure they were kept up to standard. This disappointing experience is the reason for my 2-star rating.
I would not recommend this restaurant for family outings as they frequently run out of popular items. This has happened on multiple occasions.
Nice to pop in here for a coffee whilst out shopping. Pity the staff are not the most welcoming or friendly! Customer service courses would be of benefit here. Granted it was a little busy, 2 groups of people waiting (patiently) to be seated, but not nice to see staff walking past eachother looking up in the air and arguing who the next is to serve on the till. Marks and spencer need to think about shaking this team up a bit....lots of people out there would be grateful for a nice little job like theirs!
