We have frequented the restaurant frequently and to date have never had a bad meal. Took a friend last night who is extremely fussy hoping that I wouldn’t be disappointed as I’ve told him the food is really good . Again it was top notch . The chef cooks the Barramundi to absolute perfection, it is great to get such great service and food. Well done team at WK. especially the chef. Hope it continues and you keep a winning team and look after them . So hard to come by these days

What a difference six months can make! From an average lunch event then, to a real culinary experience now. After checking our covid certificates, Maddie showed us to our table and brought us some water and drinks (alas no Great Northern draft). The menu was extensive and my wife chose the pasta with crab meat, and I , the mussels, French style. They pasta was, she says, the best she's had in years. I snitched a fork full, and she is probably right. It was great! The mussels were large (not NZ green tipped) and smothered in a rich garlic and cream broth. It was a fantastic meal, and the broth would have been a meal on its own. Our waitress, Maddie, was excellent, and looked after us really well. We will certainly not wait another six months to return.

Went on a Saturday night and it was a busy night for them with the restaurant areas full. My party of 4 had a great evening and it was a fantastic vibe. The food was great and priced on par with other venues. Service was good and meals came out together for the group. Ladies loved the cocktail range. All in all a very enjoyable evening and with free parking right out front Whistling Kite is well worth a visit.
