Bidra med feedbackI have to admit I was a bit confused by the open face tuna melt. Everything in it seemed abnormally large: very thick bread, very thick layer of tuna salad, very thick tomato slices, cheese that clung onto thick avocado pieces. This makes it difficult to eat more than one or two ingredients at a time in one bite, thus turning the sandwich into a struggle to balance the various components. I guess maybe it makes sense that the bread is extra thick because it's supposed to compensate for two slices? But even then the middle filling was excessive. I think I ordered the wrong thing and should try something else next time... I'll update my review when I do that, since this place seems like it has potential based on other reviews.
Super delicious and very filling. Perfectly cooked and everything feels very fresh and high quality. Definitely greasy and unhealthy, but it’s so good.
Yo...Like honestly...yooooo! The OG was straight up ridiculous. In the best ways possible. It's high-brow but at the same time the best kind of mess [I knew I wanted]. I will be back to try the others. And, get the rugulah.
A picture is worth a thousand words, right? I can also say that a place like schmaltzy’s is an absolute gift to an east coast transplant. If you’re unfamiliar with bagels, lox, challah or Dr. Brown’s Cel-Ray soda, step right up. I feel transported to the UES of Manhattan. It’s a little piece of my childhood in a bunch of bites, dishes and delicacies in one here. The staff behind the counter are friendly and helpful too. Do yourself a favor after you order a bagel with cream cheese…get a dozen to go.
My first time trying Jewish deli food and it did not disappoint! What a great savory pick-me up for lunch!! I loved how fresh the seasoning and vegetables is my favorite was how soft the bread was too. I definitely want to try their other sandwiches very soon!Everything tasted homemade and was so flavorful!
