Bidra med feedbackI picked the place based on positive reviews but it didn't live up to the expectations. First, the environment wasn't the intimate one one can expect from an Italian trattoria but it felt just as kind of a sports bar minus the TVs. The antipasto was deep fried seafood with some gritty sand occasionally felt, it looks like it wasn't cleaned properly. The two dishes of pasta one tortellini alla boscaioala was overcooked and too soft to be classified as “al dense”. The other one the Sardinian was way too sticky and the sea food in it with some bits of sand and shells that indicates it wasn't cleaned well. The wine recommended by the server wasn't the full bodied one we asked for but felt like much cheaper version of what one may expect. The food basket felt like grissini. And they serve not San Pelegríno but some other brand that I personally have never heard of. The waitress was nice though. The price tip came to $150 for two and I find that not worth the experience. The place just pretends to be Italian with lots of fancy names on the menu but if you close your eyes it is not even near.
It was a Saturday night so moderately busy. Our server seemed to keep forgetting about our table. I was also brought the wrong drink and charged the incorrect price. Disappointed that Osteria didn't live up to its reputation.
I'm so sorry this historical gem has lost its footings. All of the details we take for granted are obvious when not offered. We need this restaurant to be great so let's hope they are a good food manager away from Reclaiming past glory. I'm rooting for this.
Always love to eat at La Spiga when we are in Seattle.
Bread service needs some work. Meager plate of assorted bread/crackers.
