Bidra med feedbackGood local breakfast spot. Portions are generous, the food is scratch-made. Their pancakes are the size of dinner plates, so be hungry! I had the corned beef hash, two eggs and two biscuits with sausage gravy, and took home half of my plate. Also had a hankering for a waffle, so ordered one with strawberries and whipped cream. Again, took home half of it. The biscuits are dense, not light and fluffy and the sausage gravy is not the Southern sausage/pepper style but is spiced differently; I'm guessing thyme and parsley among other spices. The gravy had sausage in it, but wasn't sausage flavored so it didn't hit that sweet spot that I was looking for. The waffle was also more dense rather than light and airy. Both the biscuits and waffle were tasty, the textures were just denser but that didn't affect the yum factor much. I would order them both again, but now I know to expect the style to be uniquely Grandma's. The staff were welcoming, friendly and attentive. Prices are a bit spendy, but the portions are large, so that evens things out. Give them a try. They are always parked up; Grandma's is a local favorite!
We both got the biscuits and gravy which was good, a classic comfort food they did well. What I was really impressed with was the french toast, I know its simple but it was perfect, soft on the inside and a perfect crispness on the outside without being over cooked or dried out. That and the bacon were my favorite parts, the bacon is thick and crispy. The plate of food you get really is like going to grandma's, if you want classic comfort food this is a good place to go.
Hands down one of the most heartfelt place I have been. We travel a lot and never have we felt so affected by a place we ate, the sweet elderly women who was serving us made sure our table was ready when we arrived and suggested to place are kids order in first so they could eat first, and gave such great recommendations for the food we could order. Everything was made from scratch and delicious! I got two homemade jams because the jam was so good at breakfast. The women who had helped us order came up and said she was leaving because she had only come in to help us she was the owner and was retired. We are still speechless on all they did and she even called us family! wow is all I can say. We left a note and a token of appreciation!
Wonderful friendly service! Portions were generous and prices were affordable. The biscuits and gravy were worth the hype! I’ve had them a lot of places but they’ve really nailed the flavor on the gravy here.
It certainly feels like a warm comfy grandma’s place, especially when your grandma has the same picture hanging on the wall lol. The staffs are friendly and the food is amazingly delicious with good quality. Love their homemade blackberry jam!
