Bum Rogers Crab House Tavern

Looks decent from the outside, once we went in and were sat I noticed that the seats were filthy, I was kicking around crayons and dirty straws on the floor, along with some water or some other spilled drink. The people who were sat 5 minutes after us were served first. We ordered an appetizer of calamari, it came in a timely fashion. The calamari was very tough, had no flavor or barely any breading even. It is an interesting place. good service, the food was somewhat industrialized, that is, it didn't seem homemade, it wasn't bad. the dish served in the photos is coconut shrimp and a trio of crab and fish.

Atmosphere inside was nice, staff behond the bar was attentive and pleasant! And the food was delicious! We had lobster bisque, which had lots of lobster in it. Then we had a wedge salad; iceberg lettuce wedge with blue cheese, blue cheese dressing, and bacon bits, it was so good! And lastly we had an order of hot and spicy mussels. The mussels were small but good, but not as spicy as I thought they'd be. We will definitely be back!

The food and the service was excellent. We all got crabs. The soup was just ok. What I didn?t like was the restaurant puts a 4% credit card surcharge on the bill. All this does is takes away from the tip. I understand covering your cost when someone pays with a credit card but you shouldn?t be making money on this. This surcharge was almost $15.00. That?s ridiculous. I won?t go back if I have to pay this again. I would call the restaurant and ask before going. I don?t

Didn't know this great place existed in Seaside! My new spot for fresh and delicious seafood. Had a great time. Great service and cool outdoor patio.
