Bidra med feedbackFood was pretty good. I would truly need to try a slice or slices that are more my style to truly know how good they
Ordered a bunch of slices to be headed up at home at closing time on a weekday. The pizza was good, especially with the sesame seeded crusts. All were a tad sweet as if the sesame seeds were applied with a little honey.I happen to like a hot honey pepperoni slice with sesame seed crust. But others like the vodka slice were a bit odd since they on the sweeter and less salty side.Crust and cheese were tasty. The best of the slices were a sausage, cooked onion and peppers Sicilian and the Buffalo chicken.I will be back to get a whole pie of the sausage pepper onion.
I get a slice or two here and there. I love the pizza, and I’ve never had issues with the staff or the food.
Ordered a Sicilian upside down for pickup. Visions of L&B Spumoni Gardens danced in my head as I looked forward to my first pie from this place.Parking was a breeze off the street in the adjacent lot next to the 7th Precinct. Walked in was greeted by a pleasant enough counter person. Place looked kinda clean, smelled pretty good. Grabbed my $28. pie; which was quite weighty and I thought was reasonably priced, adjusted for inflation, and headed out to the lot. Drove home and opened the warm box at my kitchen table. What an ultimate let down when I opened it up.The box contents reeked of Parmesan dumped atop a seeming gallon of acrid sauce drowning a mere and slight hint of barely there mozzarella, all framed by a dark brown border of over cooked crust. Not so bad, you might say? When I went go grab a slice it flopped over lifelessly as the sauce and parm dust flowed off into the box. Still I remained undeterred and feeling adventurous, I took a bite. Horrible. Back into the box it went and after a shot trip to the garbage cans my brief but unforgettable experience with Brooklyn Square came to an unceremonious end.In summary, not the new favorite place we were hoping for.
It's ok. You have to order a whole pie, and eat it as it comes from the oven. Because if it sits around for a while, it just doesn't taste as good.
