Meh! Edo is better and cheaper! They were at Calgary Comic 2017 so maybe the prices were higher than normal? Would not eat there again. Had the chicken teriyaki, was like knock off Edo. The dumplings were hard and flavorless.
Pricey, slow service, cheap out on quantity. Overall bad experience! Will not go back :
Ten dollars of boxed garbage. I ordered the beef on rice and it came with hardly anything that would be considered anywhere close to a full meal. The order came in a waxed box container with two scoops of rice (maybe three) with an ounce of sodium-filled shredded beef, japanese salad, and a container of peanut sauce. The taste was rather bland and excessively salty as the beef was drenched in a teriyaki sauce that was most likely purchased from a local Safeway in the 'Asian ' aisle. I was most disappointed at the price since it cost me more than ten dollars with tax on something that can be easily cooked at home using a rice cooker, a frying pan, and a few very cheap ingredients. If you 're looking for the novelty of eating from a food truck in Calgary and spending more of your hard-earned cash on glorified fast-food, I would suggest you make your way down to this food truck. If you 're looking for a good hearty Asian fast-food meal that will satisfy your hunger at a smaller price, I would suggest you make your way down to the real 'Shogun ' restaurant located at the Sun Life Building food court.
