The Vig Mcdowell Mountain - Scottsdale

Very disappointed. Beautiful facility lead me to expect a great experience. Nope. Service was spotty at best. My mid rare burger was over the top WELL DONE. Dry and the “jalapeño cheese” wasn’t anything to get excited about. On top of all this the prices were outrageous even with the historic inflation and delivery issues.

The atmosphere, music, ambiance, and staff were wonderful. The food was simply okay, nothing special. I had a nice brussel sprout salad to start. Then, for the main course I ordered the steak. It really wasn't a true cut of steak one would expect from a steakhouse but instead a small cut of beef over potatoes. Good thing I had the salad to start; otherwise, I would have left quite hungry. Overall, fun atmosphere but food lacking.

This place was fantastic. We sat at the bar and had great service. I recommend the truffles and the smoked salmon! We're out of town and that was the best meal of the trip. It is just a mile away from the trail we were walking and the ladies recommend it there. I'm glad they did it!

I was pleasantly surprised by the selection, affordability and the fast service we met here yesterday. I was here in the past and almost didn't come back to a dirty glass and bad service. Last night we were welcomed and quickly accommodated, although there was no reservation and it was busy. You have assistants that bring water and running food, so service was fast and food was really, really good. Enjoy the Sirloin Steak, cooked perfectly, beautifully presented, and paired with a magnificent Arugula salad and perfect tomatoes. I am so glad that I once again tried this point, I will definitely suggest it for another night! Note: If you are walking or cycling in the McDowell mountain area, you have a locker room that we noticed on the way out!

The Vig staff was amazing. Caitlin helped me arrange a Wedding Rehearsal Dinner from out of state. She was so patient and helpful. The event was great...nice location outside on the patio with beautiful views of the McDowell Mtns. Justin and Madison were our Servers/Bartenders and were friendly and welcoming to all our guests. The food was delicious and the presentation was impressive. I am so appreciative of The Vig McDowell Mountain. I highly recommend this venue! Thank y'all so much!
