Ono Hawaiian Bbq - Scottsdale

It is an almost food hawaiian bbq place (but you eat is not fast). the team member that helps me was fantastic! alyssa was very welcoming, nurturing, helpful, gave good suggestions and explanations to the various options! alyssa went over and over – 5 stars for alyssa!? I should have asked what kind of meat was in the island huh (it was really thin pieces very fat, dark meat with much fat and gristle!) really? big for me! and the spice is extremely hot! end to throw away most of itthe salad was plentiful but very dry. alyssa suggested adding some of the Katsu sauce and that helped. So the salat was pretty good. and the iced green tea has a tropical taste and sweetening (which is not expected). So all in all I spent almost $16 with control and a tipp for mostly a simple salat? oh gutguess it depends on what they order. that was my first visit. I probably won't be back. but I would say give it once try and see what they think! many parking places (although hard to get a place close, because there are so many shops in this bustling center). clean restaurant. too warm in the inner though—I asked and alyssa said: “I tried to get it cooler in here all summer!” that is too bad! hope the owners that this is az where summer is incredibly hot and ac necessary! So you don't want to eat inside!

Food is even better than before the pandemic! It's like you're on one of the islands and, bonus, the prices are really reasonable. The service is exceptional and everything is very clean. Highly recommend. We got the family dinner. Three of us ate and plenty leftover for under $50.

This place provided one of the worst dining experiences I 've ever had. I 've had nasty hot dogs at Circle K, grocery store sushi, and green turkey from a school cafeteria. All would rate higher than this.We ordered 6 plates to-go, with a 33 minute preparation estimate. We arrived on time, and upon arrival, the girl working the counter said our order wasn 't ready. After ignoring us in the EMPTY restaurant, we approached the counter, and she had the gall to ask what we wanted. We had literally been standing at the counter for 20 minutes. After reiterating that we were waiting for our order, she looked at THE ONLY order on the counter and said, "Here you go. ' Our orders had been sitting on the counter since we walked in. Same bags, same people, same location. There was no sense of wrongdoing either. I mean, our food was literally sitting on the counter for 20 minutes while she lied about its existence, while ignoring us. What a joke.When we got home, not only was the food cold from sitting on the counter for God knows how long, the orders were wrong and food was missing. Not willing to deal with the stupidity that exists at this location, we didn 't go back. The food was edible, at best, and the service was absolutely atrocious. A complete dumpster fire of a business. Needless to say, our Hawaiian food-loving family is searching for a new place to eat.

Great place for great food! The Katsu Chicken is my favorite and everything else on the menu is good too!
